Thomas Zilliacus, the Finnish businessman previously interested in buying Manchester United, has predicted the sale of the club will fall through.
INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim are the two parties looking to take over at Old Trafford, with the Glazer family's valuation of United said to be £6billion. The saga has been ongoing for several months now with Jassim - who has put forward four bids - wanting to purchase 100 per cent of the club.
Ratcliffe, who also submitted a bid post-deadline, is wanting to acquire just over 50 per cent - which would leave Joel and Avram Glazer with a 20 per cent stake in United. The wealthy duo are locked in a buying battle, as the Glazer's 15-year ownership could potentially come to an end.

However, in the eyes of Zilliacus - who withdrew from the 'farce' of a process earlier this year - United supporters will not get their wish with regards to the Glazers leaving. The 69-year-old is now looking to take over Champions League finalists Inter Milan, but has recently weighed in on the United situation too.
"I already made an offer for Manchester United in England in March,” he told Inter-News. "But I don't think anything will happen... they won't sell."
And on the appeal of Inter, he added: "I like Italian football, it's the best in the world. I have a house in Italy, in Como and I live there more than half of the year. I have great respect for what Steven Zhang has done.
"He's done a great job over the last seven years and considering he arrived as a young man to manage Inter, he's done a fantastic job. If he wants to sell, then yes, we would certainly be interested.
"I won't say more
