With one trophy under his belt and the possibility of another three still alive, Erik ten Hag is ahead of schedule in his first season at Manchester United.
United's Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle saw Ten Hag break the club's six-year trophy duck, with the Dutch coach turning the club around on and off the pitch. Belief is coursing through the squad and the stands, with the Old Trafford faithful confident that Ten Hag is finally the man to fill the shoes of Sir Alex Ferguson.
MEN readers are also emphatic in terms of where Ten Hag ranks among the club's managers in the post-Ferguson era, with an overwhelming majority of over 3,800 fans polled voting for him as the top boss since Fergie's exit in 2013. In the final standings, 2,602 fans (67 per cent) placed Ten Hag above the likes of Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Louis van Gaal and David Moyes - with Ralf Rangnick, Ryan Giggs and Michael Carrick thrown in for temporary good measure.

565 fans (15%) have placed Ten Hag in the top three managers post-Fergie, while 685 (18%) were more cautious, voting for the 'too early to say' option. One thing is for sure though - with United in the FA Cup quarter-finals, the Europa League round-of-16 and still in with a shout in the Premier League title race, more silverware this season would tip the scales further in Ten Hag's favour.
