Erik ten Hag believes Manchester United can improve their overloads as they continue to master his preferred style.
Ten Hag could be seen repeatedly pointing to the far side during the first half of United's FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham amid a lethargic performance.
United recovered from 1-0 down to win at Old Trafford for the fifth time this season, scoring two goals in three minutes after Fulham players Willian and Aleksandar Mitrovic, as well as manager Marco Silva, were all sent off in the 72nd minute.
"I think we played the first half quite decent, not in particular in possession," Ten Hag remarked. "In possession, I think we had to use more of an overload on the left side, we did not [use] that well. But in pressing and in attacking transitions, we created great opportunities."

Luke Shaw has praised the referee's decision to show Willian a red card for his handball in Manchester United's win against Fulham.
Although Fulham were comfortably leading 1-0 in the quarter-final of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, they imploded after the 70th minute when Willian used his hand close to the line to deny Jadon Sancho's goalbound effort.
Willian was sent off for his intervention, but Aleksandar Mitrovic and manager Marco Silva were also shown red cards for their protests against the decision, in an extraordinary few minutes which ultimately decided the game.
After full-time, Shaw was asked about the chaotic scenes and he admitted that Fulham practically threw the fixture away.
