EastEnders confirms Lola-fest episode to celebrate Danielle Harold's tragic character

EastEnders fans are soon set to endure an emotional rollercoaster, after producers of the London soap confirmed they would soon air a festival celebration of Lola Pearce's life.The much-loved Walford character - played by acting powerhouse Danielle Harold - be commemorated the one-off event alongside her loved ones in an episode to come. Lola was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour last year, and the mum-of-one has since been making the most of the time she has left in Albert Square with her nearest and dearest.
The BBC One soap is also planning a huge celebration of her life in the coming weeks, which writers revealed to Metro is called Lola-fest. The residents of Walford will enjoy music and laughs together, coming together to bond over their memories of Lola once she's passed on.
Lola's on-screen husband Jay Brown (played by Jamie Borthwick) has had viewers of the widely-adored BBC hit reaching for the tissues left, right and centre, as he holds his wife's hand during every stage of her illness. Last week saw Ben and Billy Mitchell (played by Max Bowden and Perry Fenwick) organise cover for him at work, so that he and Lola could make some special last memories together.
In scenes set to air next week however, things will take a dark turn. Lola will go missing during a karaoke party organised in her honour, with pal Billy later finding the beloved character on the floor outside the gym, with her speech and mobility having been affected in the fall.
