Eamonn Holmes has branded Philip Schofield a 'chief narcissist' in a bombshell interview with GB News.
The allegations come following Schofield's exit from ITV after he admitted an affair with a younger male colleague - and on the back of Eamonn hitting back at his former colleague's rant about "people with a grudge" yesterday.
Ex This Morning presenter Eamonn, who now hosts the GB News breakfast show, shed some light on the latest revelation as he opened up to Dan Wootton in an interview on the channel late on Monday evening.
"In this life, I have always believed that a lie challenged becomes the truth," Eamonn said.
"So although I don't want to stand up to Schofield constantly pointing out where he is lying, I feel I have to.
"Is he delusional? Does he imagine... or is he so detached from real life at This Morning that he didn't realise what was going on?
"I often say this to Ruth, maybe he believes all this stuff. But he is the chief narcissist, he is a complete and utter dyed-in-the-wool narcissist.
"Everything is about him, and last week when he issued a statement, which we the press are guilty of reporting, and accepting, where he said 'I have decided to step back'..."
Scorning, Eamonn continued: "Honestly, it makes me laugh... like heck he has."
ITV claims an investigation was launched in 2020 which looked into the rumours of a relationship between Phillip and an employee.
An ITV spokesman said on Saturday: "ITV can confirm that when rumours of a relationship between Phillip Schofield and an employee of ITV first began to circulate in early 2020 ITV investigated.
"Both parties were questioned and both categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours as did Phillip's then agency YMU.
