Dominic Fike has dropped his first new music of 2023. "Dancing In The Courthouse" is a coming of age story about Fike's youth misbehaving and running into trouble with the law.
It comes with a video shot in his native Florida that recreates scenes from his past. Press materials note "Dancing in the Courthouse" will feature on Fike's second album, which is due later this year.
Fike released his debut LP, What Could Possibly Go Wrong, in 2020, His most notable project since then has been playing the role of Elliot on HBO’s Euphoria, his first major acting gig. Last year he shared a shortened studio version of “Elliot’s Song,” a much-memed track he sings during the finale of that show’s second season.

The video is filled with short clips such as ice cream melting, a high school football team cheering, a couple in a car with an air conditioner in the window and Fike himself floating in a pool wearing a belt that says ‘smile’.Leading up to the release of the song, Fike posted a series of short vignettes of him and his brother Alex sharing his memories of growing up in Florida.
