David's Bridal has announced that its Glasgow based store has launched a closing down sale after the company recently fell into administration.
The bridal chain, based in Braehead Shopping Centre, has slashed up to 40 percent off all of its stock in-store. It comes just after the US owners of the chain, which landed in the UK in 2013, filed for bankruptcy last month.
Following the announcement, the store has launched a massive sale across wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses and more. While the sale is available to shop in-store now, there is no final day for trading set.
Arriving in time for any summer weddings you have planned, the bridal chain's "everything must-go" sale will have everything you need, with high levels of warehouse stock discounted.
However, customers are being advised to snap these bridal bargains up quickly, as many of the store's popular ranges are expected to sell out fairly fast.
A spokesperson at David’s Bridal said: "There are some fantastic deals to be found in-store, it’s a great opportunity for customers to pick some amazing bargains for their special occasions as everything is reduced. With at least 40% off everything, we expect ranges to sell out fast so don’t wait long before heading to your closest David’s Bridal store. We’d also like to thank all our customers over the years for their support."
David's Bridal is an American wedding retailer that has flagship UK stores based in Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Watford, where it is said to employ around 150 workers.
The US parent arm of the company announced it had filed for bankruptcy in April 2023 in a move that will see it close all four UK stores and cut around 9,000 jobs.

For his sophomore feature, the follow-up to 2004’s little-seen indie House of D, David Duchovny serves up a similarly niche confection, a sometimes-zany black comedy based on his 2016 novel of the same name. The elevator pitch is a tough one; though it’s funny in places, the tone is all over the place, one minute aspiring for the arch, stoner laughs of PTA’s Inherent Vice, the next veering into straightforward sentiment with a rambling final section that hits a similar highway to the 2006 Sundance hit Little Miss Sunshine. There’s also the f-word: the looming curse of American baseball movies that don’t have the word Field in the title, which could hamper its commercial prospects in the wider world.
