Dancing On Ice's Darren Harriott became the latest star to be eliminated on Sunday night.The comedian, 34, found himself in the dreaded skate-off alongside Siva Kaneswaran. However, despite both stars putting on an incredible routine, the judges picked to save Siva, resulting in Darren and his pro partner Tippy Packard being eliminated.
Speaking after his fate, Darren said: "I lasted a lot longer than I expected.Thank you to everyone, it's been a dream, I've never ice skated before" adding that everyone on the show was "so nice". Taking to Twitter, viewers were quick to share their thoughts as they sent their well-wishes to the eliminated duo.
One person said: "Well done Darren and Tippy for taking part in this year’s #DancingOnIce you both have been great and hope you keep on skating! #DancingOnIce." A different account put: "What a lovely genuine guy Darren seems, he did so well too! Great to see the progression especially when he’s never done anything like it before. #dancingonice." While another viewer put: "Sad to see Darren and Tippy go #DancingOnIce." Elsewhere, it was an eventful episode of Dancing On Ice as viewers were left cringing as Joey Essex tried to kiss pro Vanessa Bauer at the end of their High School Musical routine amid romance rumours.
The former TOWIE star, 32, and pro skater, 26, transformed into Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez for their performance as part of the ITV show's Movie Week. And at the end of the routine, Joey went in to kiss Vanessa, which she quickly avoided and started giggling, with viewers left cringing as they questioned whether it was part of the routine or not.To which the commentator exclaimed "careful" before commenting on the "classroom canoodling".
