Coronation Street fans were in meltdown as they saw a soap icon in the Dancing On Ice audience. As the celebs took to the ice for Props Week actor David Neilson, who plays Corrie's Roy Cropper, was there to cheer on his co-star Mollie Gallagher during Props Week.
Mollie, who plays Roy's niece and fellow bat watcher Nina Lucas in Corrie, is skating on the ITV celeb skating contest with Sylvain Longchambon, the husband of fellow Weatherfield favourite Samia Longchambon who plays Maria Windass. Viewers were excited by the rare appearance of David, who has played Roy since 1995.
"She's fabulous. She's got more confident every week, just like she was on our show," he praised Mollie. David then went on to drop a little Corrie spoiler as he chatted to host Holly Willoughby.

He divulged that he had been joined on the show by a 'furry friend' to replace Mollie while she is showcasing her skating talents. On Sunday (February 26) Mollie sailed through to the semi-finals next weekend.
Holly asked if David had ever had a mishap involving a prop and he replied: "Quite recently while Mollie has been doing this I've got a little friend to take her place while shes here." He added: "I can't say much because she's not on screen yet but I had this little thing on my hand and it left a little mess."
"Is this a little furry friend? asked Holly and he confirmed that indeed it was. @griannedoherty3 cheered on Twitter: "Uncle Roy in the house."
