Coronation Street fans fear for Brian as cousin Isabella arrives and 'work out' motive

Coronation Street fans have been left fearing for Brian Packham after his cousin Isabella made her arrival in Weatherfield. During Friday night's (May 19) trip to the cobbles, Brian and his friend Mary Taylor were seen eagerly awaiting the new arrival at the tram stop.
It comes after former headteacher Brian, played by Peter Gunn, had a DNA test which informed him of his Italian descent. He later revealed he'd found a cousin, Isabella, who lives in Italy and that he had plans to visit her. He asked Mary if she could help make the trip happen, hoping she would offer to run The Kabin during his absence.
However, Brian was later left disappointed when he received an email from Isabella telling him she will fly out to Weatherfield as her flat in Naples is under renovation. And so, in the latest edition of the ITV soap when an elegant Italian woman emerged from the tram, Brian was bowled over.

The new character is being played by Flaminia Cinque. The 58-year-old has voiced roles including Lillian Gopher and Merv Wombat in Gophers!, Flamingo in Tinga Tinga Tales and Ester in the children's animated television series Thomas & Friends and played three characters in the program Casualty for three different episodes.
She also portrayed Rita in the BBC miniseries Man in an Orange Shirt and has also appeared in films Mr Bean's Holiday, The Knot, Leap Year, Holy Cannelloni, and Brothers of Italy.
