Coronation Street airs exit on ITV soap ahead of Daisy acid attack storyline

Coronation Street aired a dramatic exit on the cobbles during Friday night's episode of the ITV soap ahead of the harrowing Daisy Midgeley and Justin Rutherford acid attack storyline. During the latest instalment, Weatherfield's residents went all out for Daisy's hen do ahead of her wedding to Daniel Osbourne on Monday.
However, Daisy's estranged mother, Christina (Amy Robbins), who she has recently rekindled her strained relationship with, had a surprise in store. And later during the hen party, Christina unveiled two friends from Daisy's past, Samantha and Ellie, but it was soon clear they were no friends and in fact bullies.
As they made various digs throughout the hen party and constantly put Daisy down - with Christina not standing up for her daughter once, the feisty pub worker eventually snapped. Daisy ordered a taxi for Samantha and Ellie, as well as Christina, as she booted them all out of the Rovers to which she declared to her mother: "I don't want you at the wedding!" As a bitter Christina went to leave, she told Daisy in spiteful words: "No woman in our family has ever had a happy wedding day and you are no different.
"You see, there's a family curse. It's true, the day was cursed from the beginning.The further away from it I am, the better." And the words were particularly chillings as soap fans are aware that Monday's episode will see stalker Justin return to Weatherfield to cruelly attack Daisy with acid on her wedding day to Daniel.
