Christian Eriksen has opened up on what he believes is his best position at Manchester United.
When Eriksen initially arrived in the summer there was some people who were expecting him to play in the No.10 role at Old Trafford. However, having failed in their attempts to sign Frenkie de Jong during that transfer window, Eriksen has found himself playing deeper alongside Scott McTominay in midfield.
This role has produced results for United so far and Eriksen was even named as United's player of the month for September by the supporters. With questions still lingering about the 30-year-old's best position, the 30-year-old addressed the matter in an interview with MUTV.

"I don’t know, I’m quite surprised about all the positional things," he explained. "All the games, even when I was at Spurs, I started as a winger but would often drop down to get the ball, collect it and help the build-up back then so that hasn’t really changed in that sense.
"Obviously, you start on the pitch in different positions, then it’s how the team play and how the team wants to move, how the manager wants the team to move and then you move from there. I still feel I’m the same player like before maybe I’m a little bit further from goal in some games but it’s not like I haven’t been there before."
The Dane will likely continue to play in a deeper position this Sunday when United travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City. A win for Erik ten Hag's team would see them move to within two points of Pep Guardiola's side.
