Chris Hemsworth and wife slammed by trolls over parenting after birthday prank

Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky have been criticised by trolls on Instagram after sharing a glimpse into their twin sons' birthday celebrations. Hollywood star Chris, 39, and actress Elsa, 46, celebrated twins Sasha and Tristan's ninth birthday on 18 March at their Byron Bay family mansion along with their daughter India, 10.
Chris took to Instagram to pay tribute to his two sons and posted a photograph from the fun day, which showed Elsa pushing one of the boys' faces into a chocolate birthday cake. The dad-of-three captioned the photo: "Happy 9th birthday to my two little men!" The actor added: "Only one way to eat cake in this house and that’s to have mum slam your head into it face first!! "'Hey mum I don’t like chocolate cake I prefer vanilla' 'oh really son, what about now'? @elsapataky".
While many of Chris' followers laughed along with the couple, others failed to see the funny side of the cake prank and criticised Chris and Elsa. "Why people smash their kids face in the cake is above my understanding but whatever," one person wrote, with a second adding: "Agreed.
I think it’s ridiculous." Another said: "whhhyyyyy do people think this is funny," while a fourth person commented: "Poor kid". Others defended Elsa and Chris, branding it "funny" and a "family tradition", and wished Sasha and Tristan well in the comments.
