Naman Ramachandran Kate Winslet and Kit Connor took the top acting prizes at the U.K.’s Royal Television Society Programme Awards on Tuesday. Winslet won leading actor, female, for Channel 4’s “I am Ruth.” Winslet won for playing Ruth, who witnesses her teenage daughter Freya (Winslet’s real-life daughter Mia Threapleton) retreating into herself as she becomes consumed by the pressures of social media. Winslet made a powerful speech, saying: “It has never been a harder time to be a parent, it has never been a more dangerous time to be a child in an online world. So let’s hope that the next Online Safety Bill implements significant and seismic change that will fundamentally help towards securing the safety of all of our children by recognizing and criminalizing harmful content.”

Harrowing groans have been captured from a Salford street moments after two teenagers suffered 'knife wounds'. Police were called out to reports of a stabbing on Whittle Street, Walkden, at around 11.30pm last night (March 10).
A girl and a boy, both 15, were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which Greater Manchester Police described as consistent with knife wounds. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A doorbell camera from Whittle Street has captured the chilling moment that followed the incident. The neighbour who shared the footage with the Manchester Evening News claims it shows the attacker leaving the scene.

A group can be seen dispersing in the street, and two people appear to be getting into a car. Later in the video, a number of groans can be heard while an individual is seen stumbling along the street.
Officers arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of wounding. Police recovered a weapon following the incident.
Neighbours on Whittle Street told the M.E.N. they heard 'screaming' late last night, while blood was seen splattered on the pavement and on two vehicles. One resident said: "I was in the bathroom and all I heard was the banging on someone's car. It was ours. There was a bit of blood on it as well."
Another resident, Gary Carney, said: "I came out and I could hear this shouting of 'no... no... argh'. I heard something banging against a window. I came out but I couldn't see anything, I just heard a lot of mayhem."
A section 60 Order is in place until 12:16am tonight (Sunday morning) to give officers extra powers to stop and search individuals. The order covers the area
