It seems nothing can get better in life for Blake Shelton ever since the day he married Gwen Stefani, not even a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are inseparable. The country singer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday with his wife and his former cast mates from "The Voice," Carson Daly and Adam Levine, there to celebrate with him.
Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic At his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony Friday, Blake Shelton was both celebrated and shamed by three guest speakers that have loomed large in his life over the last dozen years, as “The Voice” host Carson Daly thoroughly roasted him, wife Gwen Stefani waxed lovestruck (still), and former fellow judge Adam Levine split the difference. Shelton did not refrain from comic comments of his own. He mentioned that, as an aspiring singer from Oklahoma, getting a star on the Walk of Fame had not been primary among his career goals. “It was just never on my radar,” he told the assembled crowd on Hollywood Blvd. “I had a dream of being a country singer and hearing myself on the radio one day, and I never, ever thought that that path would lead me here. … So, like, this is shocking to me that this even happened. … I’ve been telling people for the last few weeks that I’m getting a Hollywood Square. ”
Together again! Blake Shelton and Adam Levine proved they still have one of the entertainment industry’s best bromances at Shelton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
Blake Shelton's wife was by his side for a major career moment! On Friday, the 46-year-old country singer received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Gwen Stefani was there to cheer him on.Stefani, with whom Shelton tied the knot in 2021, spoke at the ceremony, calling her husband her «dream come true.»«It blows my mind to be here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrating my husband,» Stefani began, before referring to her sons, Apollo, 9, Zuma, 14, and Kingston, 16, who were also in attendance at the ceremony.«You are so deserving of this honor and the boys and I and all of your family, your friends and colleagues, could not be more proud,» she said. "… From barely graduating from high school to roofing houses and then moving to Nashville by himself at 17 years old to chase the only thing he ever wanted to do in his life — be a country singer.«Stefani added, »There is nobody like him, he is a one-of-a-kind guy, and the audiences all fall in love with him.
Michael Kosser For every new star on the recording scene, there is at least one unheralded industry drone without whom that star might never have shone. In the case of Blake Shelton, who is about to receive his well-deserved Hollywood Walk of Fame star after more than two decades as one of country music’s best, there are probably more like a dozen heroes who made Blake’s incredible career possible. One of those heroes is your humble Nashville correspondent, me. No, that’s the truth. Once or twice in your life the impossible hits you between the eyes and you need to be prepared if you want to turn it into pure sunshine before the inevitable eclipse drifts in.
Zoe Hewitt Blake Shelton stays busy with his music career, a bit of acting and a lot of career coaching on “The Voice.” He’s been on the series since the beginning, and his picks have won nine times and counting over the show’s 22 seasons. But despite his busy schedule, he returns to his Oklahoma roots time and time again for relaxation and philanthropy. Though Shelton moved to Nashville after high school, he remains connected his home state with a 1,300 acre ranch near the town of Tishomingo. As an avid outdoorsman, it stands to reason that he’d support nonprofits with the same values. The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation launched about four years ago and Shelton was one of the first to come on board with his support. While the organization is part of the State Department with a mission to protect, preserve and conserve wildlife and natural spaces, they don’t actually receive government funding apart from the revenue they generate from licensing and fees for various outdoor activities.
