‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ Nears $1.9B WW As It Closes In On ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ – International Box Office

Meanwhile, the current quarter felt the absence of a gain from the transfer of GSN Games business in Q3 2021.

The long-running The Phantom of the Opera was once again Broadway’s highest grossing show last week, taking in a mighty $2,483,532 for the week ending Jan. 29, outpacing runners-up Funny Girl ($1,872,862) and Hamilton ($1,871,921) by a noticeable margin.

Earlier this week, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water became the No. 5 highest-grossing movie ever worldwide, and, as expected, has now surfed to the No. 4 position on the all-time chart. In so doing, it leaves Star Wars: The Force Awakens in its wake with nearly $2.075B globally. 

Not ruling it out. After playing Peter Parker in the original live-action Spider-Man trilogy, Tobey Maguire teased that his run may not be over yet.

The upward trajectory also occurred overseas as some markets came back strongly, while others struggled and exchange rates went wild.

Saudi Arabian family comedy Sattar, about a depressed man who decides to pursue his dreams of becoming a freestyle wrestling champion, has set a new box office record for a local film at home.
