In a city famous for bridges, there were perhaps some mended the last time Manchester United were in New York.
The Reds will be travelling back to the Big Apple this summer as part of their USA tour. Erik ten Hag's side will take on Arsenal in July at the Met Life Stadium. They'll be 10 miles up the road from their 2011 venue, when they defeated the MLS All-Stars 4-0 at the Red Bull Arena as part of an American tour which yielded five wins from five and 20 goals.
It also saw a reunion between club and former player David Beckham, who featured for the All-Stars that day, alongside Arsenal great Thierry Henry. Those two were the MLS pulling power at the time and for Beckham, whose United career ended in 2003 amid a rift with Sir Alex Ferguson, it was a reunion between the pair.

The first had occurred while the former England captain was on loan at AC Milan and the Italian giants faced United in a Champions League knockout tie in 2010, with the Reds winning the second leg at Old Trafford 4-0 to secure a 7-2 aggregate success. Fergie had spoke of avoiding the 'circus' surrounding the Beckham's reunion and United successfully navigated a testing tie with Beckham more on the periphery than centre stage.
Eighteen months later it was a different story with Beckham very much centre stage in the States. The sell-out New York crowd were treated to a fine United performance but also a stellar individual display from Beckham, who anchored the home side's midfield. He displayed all his craft and creativity in causing problems for the then Premier League champions.
