The Great British Bake Off has officially announced Alison Hammond as Matt Lucas 's replacement with fans labelling Alison as the “perfect choice: for the popular Channel 4 programme. Sharing the news on social media, the baking competition's official Instagram page announced that they had "baking news".
"We’re delighted to announce that Alison Hammond will be joining forces with Noel Fielding to host the next series of The Great British Bake Off on @Channel4 later this year," the post read, alongside a snap of This Morning favourite, Alison. "We cannot wait!" they added.
New host Alison is no stranger to the white tent having taken part in the Celebrity Bake Off for charity back in 2020 alongside the likes of Louis Theroux and Joe Sugg. Here’s a look at some of her most iconic moments from her time on the show.
